That's exciting enough as it is, but what really got our attention was the fact that they're claiming they will have this up and running two years before BT will complete their fibre-optic network which was intended to rival Virgin's offering.
It looks like BT are going to be somewhat behind with the times if Virgin deliver on their promise and Neil Berkett, Virgin Media's Chief Executive has been pretty happy to share information about the plans with major news portals. ![]() Wednesday, April 8th 2009 If you receive your cable TV from Virgin Media, but don't subscribe to Setanta Sports channels or don't always have the opportunity to watch your favourite sport live, you'll be pleased to know that Virgin Media has introduced a new service known as Setanta Replay.
Setanta Replay is available free of charge to existing subscribers to Virgin's XL and TV Choice on Demand packages, but not to M and L customers without an additional subscription. This, Virgin explains, is for technical reasons, and applies to M and L customers even if they already subscribe to Setanta Sports channels. ![]() Wednesday, April 1st 2009 Not content with offering some of the fastest and best value broadband packages on the market, O2 are now offering the first 3 months free on Premium and Pro broadband.
As a result, customers taking Premium broadband will save £29.37 and a whopping £51.39 for Pro broadband.
O2 Premium broadband is priced at a competitive £9.79 for O2 pay monthly mobile customers and includes a free O2 wireless router and free connection.
O2 Pro broadband comes in slightly higher at £17.13 for O2 pay monthly mobile customers but comes with an enhanced O2 wireless router and prioritised customer service.
