BT Broadband Packages Explained

BT Total Broadband offers simple, highly-competitive broadband packages and pride themselves on their excellent service and support. Perfect for families, beginners and experienced broadband users alike, BT Total Broadband has a package to fit. Not just a broadband provider, BT Total Broadband is only one part of the ever-strident BT.

Since being awarded the Reader's Digest Trusted Brand 2009 of Most Trusted ISP 2009, it shows widespread support of the service from this family magazine. Since BT owns the network that all other providers uses to put broadband internet into your home, (except for Virgin Media, which uses its own underground cables), it is now the biggest fixed-line broadband - based on the number of users.

On it's own, the BT Home Hub wireless router seems to be a great offer, but BT also offer a good variety of extra products - everything from a simple broadband deal to offers that includes products such as mobile phones, mobile broadband dongles and television services.

As you might expect from such a big company like BT, it offers simple 24/7 customer services and technical support, with premium options also available - perfect for those who requires support at off hours of the day.

In response to Virgin rolling out their 50MB broadband service, BT is announcing the roll-out of its own, super-fast fibre-optic services in March 2009, with speeds of up to 40MB.

With different packages available, ranging from the humble 'Fast and Reliable', 'Heavy Usage', 'Unlimited' to 'Anywhere', you can be sure to choose the package you want effectively and simply.

With all packages which comes included with the BT Home Hub, and comparing with other Broadband Providers such as Sky and Virgin, BT prices over the course of the year is lowest of the three. Reaching speeds of up to 8MB, watching streaming TV, downloading music and video clips cannot be any quicker!

With both 'Unlimited' and 'Anywhere' packages, you receive the BT Home Hub Phone, which is part of the Home Hub, and allows you to make and receive calls anywhere around the home. As well as the Home Hub Phone, the 'Anywhere' package also allows you to receive the BT ToGo Phone, a Smartphone running on Windows Mobile 6, which allows you to take broadband out of the home, giving you email and high-speed Internet access on the move.

The BT ToGo Phone will work anywhere that has mobile reception, as well as take advantage of the hundred of thousands of Wi-Fi hotspots around the UK for even faster speeds on the Internet.

Switching to BT Broadband is quick and easy - you can even switch without losing Internet access. If you do not currently have Internet, BT Broadband could connect your computer to the Internet within 5 days as well as offer the simplicity of moving your email address, contacts to its BT's Email Address Book (powered by Yahoo).

There is also the option to add BT Vision, Digital TV and entertainment on demand service to your Internet package for a small extra fee, and money-saving bundle offers and promotions are available.
