BT Vision Packages Explained
BT Vision offers a unique, on-demand subscription service while offering 70 Freeview channels on top of its package. Their innovative new system where you rent specific programmes that you wish to watch, on demand, has made BT Vision very popular ever since its launch.
Each On Demand programme is rented for a 1 day period (24 hours), which is also recorded onto its Internal Drive for future viewing. With charges per programme varying from a few pence to a few pounds, it is one of the cheapest ways to watch television on demand.
BT Vision comes included with a Vision+ Box, and its 160GB hard drive means it is big enough to record up to 80 hours of high quality digital television, which you can then watch whenever you wish. The cost of having a BT Vision+ box, which also includes the free BT Home Hub wireless router for broadband, comes at £199 for non-subscribers of BT Broadband and is free for Total Broadband subscribers, so having BT Total Broadband would be more worthwhile.
BT Vision has an installation fee of £60 and a connection fee of £30. One of the best things about BT Vision about this is that you are not stuck in an agreement any specific time for the additional packages that you can add to your account. You stay in control, and the agreement is billed and made month-to-month. This makes it perfect for people who don't like 1 year contracts, such as students, or those always looking for the biggest bargains.
There are several reasons for considering BT Vision as your subscription, including as the Vision+ box that allows you to pause, rewind, record and store up to 80hrs of TV - even recording an entire series at the touch of a button with the 160GB hard drive. The Vision+ box's dual digital TV tuners can record one or two programmes at once while you watch another programme, something that Sky does not currently offer.
With on demand entertainment, you can enjoy thousands of hours of entertainment whenever you desire, including recent released films, top American and British TV shows, music videos, sport and loads of great advert-free kids' TV. In addition, they also offer stunning High Definition films from £4.84 and High Definition TV shows from 96p an episode. Even if you do not want to pay to watch programmes in High Definition you would still be able to access up to 40 digital television and over 20 radio channels.
So, with BT Vision, you can choose from a range of flexible ways to watch - you only pay for the shows, sports and films you want. You can choose your ideal combination of entertainment or you can save more money with a Value Pack, which would allow you to get unlimited viewing of just the shows you like. Either way, BT Vision is the future of home entertainment for Freeview and is revolutionising the way we watch and pay for our television programs and channels. /cms-hotlinks>
