Sky Movies Packages Explained

Sky Movies includes more than 850 films shown over 10 different channels. The channels you will receive when you purchase the Sky Movies Pack for your Sky TV Package are:

  • Sky Movies Premiere – Shows five of the biggest new movies every week. Movies coming to Sky Movies Premiere soon include Kung Fu Panda, Speed Racer, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Black Water.
  • Sky Movies Comedy – Showing films that will never fail to make you laugh. Films being shown in the near future on Sky Movies Comedy include Mamma Mia, The Golden Child and Mr Woodcock.
  • Sky Movies Action and Thriller - Including movies such as Hitman, the River Wild and Eastern Promises being shown soon.
  • Sky Movies Family – Films suitable for all, with movies being shown soon on this channel including Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Iron Giant and Son of Rambow.
  • Sky Movies Drama – Showing films such as 21, Jennifer Eight and Silkwood.
  • Sky Movies Sci-Fi and Horror – Films shown to amaze and thrill, including The Eye, Awake, and Mission to Mars.
  • Sky Movies Classics – Including legendary films such as Paint Your Wagon, Topaz and Giant.
  • Sky Movies Indie – Showing films that think outside the Hollywood box, such as Assembly, The Air I Breathe and Bringing Out The Dead.
  • Sky Movies Modern Greats – Big hit films from the not-too-distant past, including movies such as Bad Boys, The Sixth Sense and Die Hard.
  • Sky Movies 1 and 2 in HD – Offering a superb high definition selection across all of Sky Movies genres, including in the near future The Breakfast Club, Babe and Eyes Wide Shut.

Sky Movies 1 or 2, when purchased with all 6 Entertainment Packs Sky TV offer, will cost you £29.50 per month. With only one entertainment pack either Sky Movies 1 or 2 will cost you £25.50 per month. The Sky Movies Pack when purchased with all 6 Entertainment packs costs £37.50 per month, and £33.50 per month when purchased with only 1 Entertainment Pack.

At the moment, Sky are offering their Sky Movies Pack, 4 Entertainment Packs, plus Sky Talk Freetime (free evening and weekend calls) and Sky Broadband Base (2GB download limit per month and 2MB download speeds) for £35.50 a month, including a free standard Sky Box (which costs £15 to install for new customers).

Another offer currently being promoted by Sky is their Movies Pack and all 6 Entertainment Packs, plus a free Sky+box (which costs £30 to install for new customers) for £37.50 a month. Existing customers can add Sky Movies 1 or 2 to their existing package with Sky for just £9 more per month, or the Movies Pack for £17 extra a month.

Sky then offer a choice of 3 different boxes. Both their Standard Sky Box and Sky+ Box are free to new customers, although their standard box costs £15 to install and the Sky+ box £30 for new customers. The Sky +HD box is available to new customers for £79, including installation. Sky Multi-room can also be added to the package for an additional £9.75 a month if you wish to have Sky in an additional room on separate televisions.
