Sky TV Packages Explained

Sky, being the older name in the TV business, offers a huge range of digital channel over its own Satellite Network, with more channels being added onto it every day. This means that they offer a huge choice of television packages, and it can be tricky working out which one is right for you. Since Sky is a satellite network, you would be required to allow their engineer to fix a receiver dish to the exterior of the property in order to receive clear satellite signals and watch any Sky TV channels.

With six different entertainment packs and two other premium packages to choose from, you can pick and mix different packs and enjoy them as you wish. With great Entertainment packs such as Variety, Knowledge, Style & Culture, News & Events, Children's and Music to choose from, one can be spoilt for choice, and there is quite literally something for everyone.

Prices start at the minimum of just £16.50 a month, and every new pack you add on top is just another £1 extra on top - making it great value for money.

Here is a brief run-down of the packs, and what they contain:

Variety Packs - Entertainment for everyone in the family, and the latest shows on Sky 1 such as the new season of House or documentaries with Ross Kemp "In Search of Pirates."

Knowledge Packs - Broaden your knowledge and understanding of the world by talking a look all around our plant with the Discovery and National Geographic channels.

News & Events Packs - You can keep up to date with the latest information around the world with Sky Sport News and Sky News, especially with exclusive coverage of the most sought-after events.

Style & Culture Packs - What's hot and what's not right now? From Food to Fashion Programmes, there is something for everyone with inspiring channels like Good Food, Diva TV and The Style Network.

Music Packs - You can have the latest in the music world and have the best in tunes, video and interviews being brought to your screen from rock and classical to hip hop and dance with chart hits from channels like MTV and Smash Hits.

Children's Packs - Ever get the dreaded, "What's On?" from the kids? Now you can keep them entertained with cartoons, films, shows and games to enjoy and learn from, whether it is Boomerang, Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon.

With all those Entertainment Packs to choose from as well as the Movie and Sport's Pack, you can control exactly what you want to watch and pay for.
