Virgin Media Double Deals Explained

If you don't like being told what you need in terms of your media requirements and would rather have the freedom to choose then a Virgin Media Double Deal could be the solution you've searched for. Not all of us are internet lovers, just like not all of us want to spend hours on the phone each day.

Some of us can't get enough of their TV while others wouldn't watch an hour in a week and simply don't care about the latest antics in the Big Brother house. Virgin has taken the time to understand that people, with their own unique differences, really don't want the same thing as everyone else. Their Double Deals allow the consumer to pick the two services offered that they want - without having to pay more for the service that they don't.

The Double Deal options are broadband and phone, broadband and digital TV and digital TV and phone. Each of these packages has different offers to entice you such as unlimited weekend calls to other UK landlines or perhaps a free router. These offers are subject to change and you may also find special deals are available such as a lowered price for the first month or few months after you first join.

Be careful that you know what price you will be paying after the introductory offer; Virgin do have a sneaky habit of hiding the actual prices of their deals in small print, along with the fact that you will have to pay them £11 a month for your phone line (assuming you're selecting a deal that includes phone).

If the front page of the Virgin website is offering a package for just £5 a month, for example, you can be sure there will be some hidden costs buried somewhere. That is not to say that Virgin Media are overpriced because you will find that combining your services into one bundle is very likely to save you some of your hard-earned cash.

Having said that you may find that the Virgin Deals are a little more expensive than some of the comparable services from their leading rivals. This can be a deceptive truth, however, as Virgin will only rope you into a 12 month contract instead of the 18 months that you'll sign up to with other providers. In addition to this convenience, you will also be paying for quality - as Virgin is well known for their excellence and reliability.

If the standard Double Deals don't really suit your tastes due to a limited broadband connection or too few TV channels then never fear. Virgin Media offers a custom bundle building service to allow you to pick exactly what you need and want.

Virgin Media Double Deals do offer something for everyone. By cutting out a service that you don't use and combining the other two into one handy monthly payment you'll be saving yourself some money. It'll also be easier to keep track on where your finances are vanishing to as there'll only be one direct debit on your bank account each month as opposed to several when utilising different companies.
