allpay rolling out wireless broadband to more Herefordshire communities
Garway, Golden Valley and Peterchurch should soon be covered by allpay's wireless broadband network.
High-speed wireless broadband will soon be available in the Herefordshire communities of Garway, Golden Valley and Peterchurch.
Wireless internet service provider allpay Broadband revealed it has successfully installed an access point in Peterchurch and is waiting to receive the green light from local authorities to do the same in Garway.
Once permission is granted, allpay will push forward with getting both sites up and running, before further extending its coverage to the Golden Valley area.
"We're going as fast as we can and as soon as the service is live we'll get in touch with you," the communications firm said in its latest newsletter.
The allpay service uses a wireless link to bring fast and reliable broadband to rural communities via local access points, with subscriber modules used to pick up the signal.
These modules are compact and can be installed on the roof of a home or business relatively easily. Once it has been fitted, customers will be able to receive broadband speeds of up to 35Mbps.
Wireless internet solutions such as this are particularly popular in rural communities, which are often served by slow - or even non-existent - fixed-line broadband.
