Be gets festive with social for broadband customersTuesday, December 22nd 2009 Broadband provider Be has kicked its Christmas celebrations with a festive gathering for its subscribers. Be Broadband got into the festive spirit last week by holding a special Christmas event for its subscribers. The company held its fourth social event of 2009 at The Mitre pub in London, where it outlined its plans for 2010 and also held a light-hearted quiz between Be staff and subscribers over pints and a selection of mince pies. Be customers ended up successful on the night, but the company's staff may get a chance to redeem themselves in the future as the firm looks to hold more of the socials next year. "It's been a lot of fun running the Be Socials this year, so were going to continue running them," the company added. Be recently confirmed it is supplying free public Wi-Fi body Freerunner with broadband services for local communities that are without existing connections. Over 40 areas in the UK are to benefit from free internet through the plans.
