Hate to Wait?
Tuesday 29th January 2008 Virgin Media is launching a new TV advertising campaign, for its broadband product, entitled ‘Hate To Wait?'. The campaign will go to air from 1st February and will focus on everyday waiting frustrations. The ads will highlight Virgin Media's superfast broadband service, which is three times faster than other providers*. The campaign, consisting of a suite of 20-second ads, will show how Virgin Media customers will be able to get instant gratification from their superfast broadband service and not have to endure lengthy download times. The ads will include everyday situations which are made increasingly frustrating by the need to wait – such as waiting in the queue for the ladies' toilets, supermarket check-out, getting fit and speed dating. The campaign has been created by Rapier and directed by Ric Cantor. James Kydd, Virgin Media's managing director of brand and marketing said: “As consumers we continue to demand instant gratification in all areas of our lives, and at Virgin Media, we believe that broadband shouldn't be any different. Our new broadband TV ads show that we no longer have to wait for webpages or files to download – superfast broadband means we have more time to do other things in our lives.” Virgin Media currently offers a variety of first-class broadband packages for 2Mb, 4Mb (soon to be upgraded to 10Mb) and 20Mb speeds – allowing customers to download their favourite music albums and TV shows within a matter of minutes, or even seconds for those with the superfast 20Mb speeds. By the end of 2008, Virgin Media will launch its 50Mb product, which will be available to 9 million homes in the UK. Available deals from Virgin |
