France 24 launches on Freeview HD via Vision TV Network

Vision247 has announced that international news channel France 24 is now available to all British households with Freeview HD set-top boxes and broadband-connected TVs.
Launched in December 2006, France 24 offers a French perspective on major news and current affairs, and has a team of more than 1,000 correspondents around the world.
The French-language channel can be watched on Freeview HD channel 110 through the Vision TV Network from today (February 10th 2012), while the English version is already available on the Sky and Freesat platforms.
Comprehensive news bulletins are offered every half an hour, complete with expert analysis designed to give viewers a greater understanding of events. Sports and business updates are among the other content provided by France 24.
Viewers with internet-connected TVs or set-top boxes who visit the station can also use an onscreen carousel to watch live daily broadcasts of other TeleFrance channels.
Frank Melloul, strategy and distribution director at France 24, said the channel is looking to expand its audience by launching in new territories.
"To achieve this, France 24 embraces modern, competitive approaches to deliver its programmes to French, English and Arabic speaking audiences," he explained.
