KC rolls out fibre broadband to east Yorks business park

East Yorkshire internet service provider KC has rolled out its 'lightning fast' fibre optic broadband product to businesses based at the Hesslewood Country Office Park.

KC Business Lightstream, which delivers speeds of up to 100Mbps, has been deployed to the 33 local firms based at the site off Ferriby Road in Hessle.

Introduced earlier this year, the service has so far enjoyed a positive reception, with more than 150 companies signing up in Beverley, Priory Park East and Woodmansey - the original areas covered by the rollout.

The Hesslewood installation is the first of several deployments at business parks that will be conducted over the coming months. KC is planning to unveil the additional locations in the near future.

Gary Young, director of business markets at KC, said: "Our desire is for local businesses to be the best-connected in the UK and we're looking forward to making KC Business Lightstream available to more of our customers over the months ahead."

By the end of this year, KC is aiming to roll out fibre optic broadband to 15,000 homes and businesses across east Yorkshire.
