Metronet next-generation broadband goes live in Crewe

Metronet has extended its next-generation wireless and fibre optic broadband infrastructure to businesses in Crewe and the surrounding communities.
As a result of the move, companies in the area can now sign up for broadband connections with speeds of between 1Mbps and 10Gbps. The telecoms firm also claims to offer the best support and service-level agreement in the industry.
According to Metronet, its broadband network provides an alternative for businesses that are struggling with a low-quality copper-based service and are put off by the "prohibitive" costs of leased line installation.
Elliott Mueller, chief executive of Metronet, argued that businesses are largely ignored by the government's super-fast broadband objectives, which are more focused on delivering faster speeds to consumers.
"Metronet are about to address this in Crewe by providing the opportunity to connect to the UK's number one hybrid business only network," he added.
The rollout of the company's super-fast broadband infrastructure in Crewe comes just a matter of weeks after the network was deployed in Tamworth and the surrounding areas.
Metronet has also launched its broadband service in and around the cities of Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Dublin.
