O2 'enjoyed strong broadband sales in 2009'Monday, January 18th 2010 Broadband provider O2 enjoyed a strong 2009 in terms of sales, according to new figures. Home and mobile broadband provider O2 is celebrating after topping a sales-based poll.
Products from the company, which is set to begin offering broadband and home phone bundles from the start of March, sold very strongly through comparison website BroadbandGenie during 2009, it has been revealed.
Other broadband providers who enjoyed strong sales included bundle providers such as BT and Virgin Media, as well as PlusNet and the Post Office's own broadband service.
Discussing the findings, O2's head of home and broadband, Felix Geyr, said: "The fact O2 Broadband is the top choice for BroadbandGenie.co.uk visitors shows we are committed to providing the best home broadband.
"We're very proud our customers are pleased with O2 Broadband and we will continue to focus on this in 2010."
Last week, internet service provider O2 claimed that its upcoming home phone and broadband deals would provide consumers with great value without hidden costs.
