Orange launches Bright Box wireless router

Orange has announced the launch of its exclusive Bright Box wireless router, described by the company as its most powerful ever home broadband router.
The device, which will be available to all new Orange broadband customers free of charge, is capable of transmitting wireless signals over a radius of up to 250m.
According to the Everything Everywhere-owned internet service provider, the Bright Box's two built-in antennas - which use wireless 'N' technology - mean users can take advantage of fast and reliable broadband throughout their home.
It is also designed to reduce the effects of interference from other common electric gadgets, which can hamper the performance of a broadband connection.
Other features include four 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports and a USB slot, allowing it to be connected directly to the household network.
Sylvain Thevenot, director of marketing and propositions for Orange Broadband, said: "We're constantly looking to evolve our home broadband offering to ensure our customers enjoy the best possible experience across multiple devices in the home - including smartphones using Wi-Fi."
Last September was the first month since November 2007 that Orange recorded a net rise in its broadband customer numbers.
