Sky and Channel 4 sign extensive linear and on-demand content deal

Sky is set to bolster its various digital platforms with a range of linear and on-demand content from Channel 4.
Under the agreement, 4oD will launch on Sky's on-demand service early next year, offering viewers hundreds of hours of recent and archived Channel 4 shows.
The proposition will be available to the more than five million households with a Sky TV subscription, a broadband connection and a compatible Sky+HD set-top box, meaning the pay TV platform will offer catch-up content from all the terrestrial networks.
Two new high-definition channels - Film4 HD and More4 HD - are set to be added to the Sky line-up, following on from the introduction of Channel 4 HD and E4 HD - both of which premiered on the Sky platform.
Finally, Channel 4, E4, More4 and Film4 will all be added to Sky Go, making it the first terrestrial network to appear on the online and mobile TV service.
Available on Apple and Android mobile devices, PC, Mac and Xbox 360, Sky Go is currently used by more than 2.7 million Sky subscribers.
Rob Webster, director of Sky's commercial group, said: "Sky homes are embracing innovations such as Sky Go and TV on demand in record numbers, and the addition of more quality content will create even more value for our customers."
