Sky channels to launch on TalkTalk's YouView service

A commercial agreement between Sky and TalkTalk will see a wide range of the satellite broadcaster's channels made available to TalkTalk customers via YouView.
The deal, which involves several entertainment, movie and sports channels, will allow TalkTalk to offer a substantial pay TV service while extending Sky's reach to more households.
Initially, standard-definition versions of Sky1, Sky Living, Sky Arts 1 and 2, Sky News, Sky Sports News, Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4, Sky Sports F1 and all of the Sky Movies channels will be rolled out to TalkTalk's YouView platform.
Sky Anytime will be added to YouView at a later date, giving customers access to a comprehensive selection of on-demand content, while newly launched internet television service Now TV will also be available.
Rob Webster, director of Sky's commercial group, said: "As we continue to increase our investment in high-quality pay TV content, we want to achieve as broad a distribution as possible and grow our content-related revenues."
TalkTalk customers had previously been able to subscribe to a selection of Sky channels via Sky by Wire. Subscribers to this service will be migrated to TalkTalk's YouView proposition.
