Sky Movies app now available for iOS devices
Apple iPhone and iPad users can now download the new Sky Movies app.

Sky has announced the launch of a new Sky Movies app for users of Apple's iOS devices.

Specifically designed for Sky Movies customers, the download allows iPhone and iPad owners to track down information on all the films currently playing on the premium channels.

The app also includes a rundown of all the latest movies that are screening at the cinema in an attempt to make it easier for subscribers to find their perfect movie.

Furthermore, the inbuilt remote recording function allows users to save movies on their Sky+ set-top box while they are out and about, and watch them at a later time.

The announcement comes just a matter of days after the satellite broadcaster revealed a new version of its Sky Go application will be released for Android tablets and smartphones in the near future.

Speaking to TechRadar, a spokesperson from the pay TV giant said the download is set to launch "in the coming months".

The app, which allows customers to watch live TV on a range of devices including PCs, Macs, laptops and smartphones, is already available for the Apple iPhone and iPad.
