BT's digital TV service will become "phenomenally strong" when Sky Sports 1 and 2 are added to it, it has been suggested.
Bundle provider BT has revealed its confidence over the introduction of Sky Sports 1 and 2 to its digital TV services. The company's Andy Barker told TechRadar.com that the arrival of the premium channels on BT Vision will make its bundles "phenomenally strong" as it looks to do battle with rivals such as Sky and Virgin Media.
Talking to the website, he added that a lot of other plans are in the pipeline that could potentially improve its offerings, including Project Canvas and fibre optic broadband investment.
He explained: "I don't think this is the start of the journey – we have been on the journey for a couple of years and we already have a very, very good TV service but what we haven't had is a very good TV service for sports fans."
BT customers with a two-year broadband and home phone deal can get access to both Sky Sports 1 and 2 in a bundle with ESPN and on-demand content for £11.99 a month.
