Sky Anytime and Anytime+ services set for rebranding
On Demand will be the new name for Sky Anytime and Anytime+.

Sky has announced its Anytime and Anytime+ catch-up services are set to be rebranded as On Demand.

The satellite broadcaster explained the move will make it simpler for customers to search for and find their favourite shows, including the likes of An Idiot Abroad, Mad Dogs and Stella.

Both Anytime and Anytime+ will be listed in the Sky Guide under the On Demand tab in time for the introduction of Catch Up TV, which will offer the best content from the last seven days.

Programming from Demand 5, ITV Player and Sky's own channels will feature on Catch Up TV, while BBC iPlayer will be introduced shortly after the launch.

"You won't need to gather around your laptop to recap the week's best shows. They'll be available to enjoy on your TV, in the comfort of your living room," Sky explained.

In order to take advantage of the On Demand service, subscribers must connect their Sky+HD box to a broadband router.

The pay TV giant unveiled a selection of additional updated features, including a new Store tab for renting movies and an Undelete function that allows deleted shows to be recovered from the Planner.
