Sky's 3D TV set for shopping centre preview
Digital TV provider Sky is planning to preview its upcoming 3D digital TV service at the Westfield shopping centre in London.
Broadband provider Sky is to preview its new 3D digital TV platform at London's Westfield shopping centre at the end of this week.

The company is set to host a series of public demonstrations in retail outlets over the next year and is planning to kick off the trials by showcasing the service to customers in west London.

Footage from Sky's 3D broadcast of a Premier League match will be shown as part of the demos, alongside other sports coverage and images from London Fashion Week.

Customers at over 100 shopping centres will be able to experience further trials, where they will also be able to sign up to become one of the first people in the UK to receive 3D TV later this year.

Details of the demonstrations have come after Sky confirmed it is to open a new customer service centre in Stockport.

The company is set to create more than 550 jobs by establishing the site.
