TalkTalk launches free broadband deal for armed forces
Bundle provider TalkTalk is now offering those in the armed forces and their families free broadband for a year.
Men and women serving in the armed forces can now get a year of free broadband access thanks to a new deal launched by TalkTalk.

The broadband and home phone provider has revealed it is getting behind British Armed Forces Day, which is taking place tomorrow (June 26th), by offering the special deal to troops and their families.

As well as enjoying free broadband for 12 months, personnel also have the chance to enjoy evening and weekend calls to any UK landline.

Customers who switch to take up the deal from TalkTalk will only have to pay line rental of £11.49 a month, as well as a £29.99 connection fee.

In an official blog posting, TalkTalk's communications director Mark Schmid said the deal was the firm's own effort to recognise and thank troops for their work.

TalkTalk recently revealed that its drive to raise funds for autism charity TreeHouse in now underway.
