A new service designed to make setting up a broadband connection in a new home easier has been launched by TalkTalk.
One of the UK's leading home broadband providers has unveiled a new scheme designed to help its customers set up internet connections when moving house.

TalkTalk's new Home Mover Service will see the company arrange the provision of its internet and phone packages in a new property.

Currently, customers moving to a home in a non-cable area have to sign up to BT and incur a heavy charge when switching to their provider of choice.

It is hoped the service, which is £29.99 for existing customers and £59.99 for new clients, will take some of the stress out of moving.

Wendy Becker, managing director of TalkTalk, said: "We're pleased to be able to take the hassle – and a lot of the cost – out of the process of getting your home phone and broadband up and running."

TalkTalk recently became Britain's biggest home broadband business after its parent company the Carphone Warehouse bought Tiscali in a £236 million deal.
