Virgin Media adds Phineas and Ferb and Teletext Holidays TiVo apps

Virgin Media has announced the launch of two new apps for its TiVo next-generation entertainment service.

The cable company has teamed up with Disney UK for the first of these apps, based on the cartoon series Phineas and Ferb.

Designed to harness the interactive capabilities of TiVo, the application takes the form of a video quiz in which fans are challenged to foil the evil Dr Doofenshmirtz by correctly answering questions based on the show.

The app began automatically rolling out on Thursday (July 5th 2012) and can be found on the Apps and Games section on Virgin's TiVo set-top box.

In addition, the cable TV giant has added a Teletext Holidays app to the service, showcasing a wide range of domestic and overseas trips for customers seeking out travel deals.

As well as special offers on holidays, the app includes travel information such as video guides on landmarks and scenery in viewers' chosen destination.
