Six TV is reportedly gearing up to lodge an official complaint to Ofcom about proposed connected-TV joint venture Project Canvas.
Virgin Media's recent complaint to Ofcom regarding Project Canvas could soon be added to by another TV group.

Six TV is reportedly planning to get in touch with the regulator "shortly" in order to lodge its own concerns about the proposed joint venture between the BBC, ITV, BT, Channel 4, TalkTalk and Arqiva, a spokeswoman from Ofcom told Dow Jones Newswires.

It would make Six TV the third company to complain about Project Canvas, after Virgin Media and internet TV box retailer IP Vision.

The Ofcom source explained it would assess what action to take when it had reviewed Six TV's comments, adding: "In the meantime, we are continuing to assess whether to open an investigation into Project Canvas, following the complaints received from Virgin Media and IP Vision."

Earlier this month, Channel Five announced it would be returning to the proposed Project Canvas joint venture, having quit at the start of July 2010 amid a review of its digital investment strategy.
