Virgin Media launches Living the Dream TiVo app
The latest app for Virgin Media's TiVo service is designed to teach customers some fancy footwork.
Inspired by performing arts school, fashion brand and dance company Living the Dream, the application features interactive dance classes featuring star acts such as Flawless, Abyss, Boy Blue and Masters of Motion.
On-demand classes will teach viewers how to dance in a range of contemporary styles, including street and hip-hop.
Interviews with leading dancers and some of the world's top choreographers will also feature on the app, along with behind-the-scenes footage from West End productions, global dance competitions, premieres and dance-based reality shows.
Zoe Jackson, managing director of Living the Dream, said the company is "really excited" to have made its first foray into TV by launching an app for the TiVo service.
Virgin Media's director of digital entertainment Aleks Habdank added: "The flexibility of our TiVo service allows us to champion the creative industries, giving them the platform to reach hundreds of thousands of living rooms across the UK."
In the first quarter of 2012, the customer base of Virgin's TiVo service increased by 242,000 households to 677,100.
