Love is the air at Virgin Media as the digital TV provider adds romantic options to its on-demand service.
Virgin Media is encouraging its digital TV customers to spend some nights in watching its Valentines-themed on-demand selections.

The firm is showing a number of romantic episodes of hit shows such as Gossip Girl, Friends and ER via its on-demand service and has also added rom-coms Love Actually and Head Over Heels to its Movies on Demand offerings.

Love Stories – a range of classic period dramas based on famed novels, including Emma and Jane Eyre, will be available on Virgin's TV Choice feature.

There are also a number of other options available for people not in the mood for romance, including Watching the Detectives, a series of crime dramas including Without a Trace and The Closer which will be available on TV Choice from February 15th.

Earlier this week, Virgin Media's chief executive Neil Berkett told the Financial Times that the firm will focus on developing its digital TV offerings in 2010, in particular focusing on its collaboration with TiVo.
