Virgin Media plans 200Mbps fibre optic broadband demo
Fibre optic broadband provider Virgin Media is set to showcase 200Mbps web services at the upcoming Ideal Home Show 2010.
Bundle provider Virgin Media is to showcase the UK's fastest broadband service as part of the forthcoming Ideal Home Show 2010.

The fibre optic broadband, home phone and digital TV provider has revealed it will demonstrate a 200Mbps service as part of the Home of the Future exhibition at the event, which takes place from tomorrow (March 20th) at Earl's Court in London.

It will also showcase its most advanced digital TV service and explain how home entertainment will become an increasingly important part of life.

Ashley Stockwell, executive director of brand and marketing at Virgin Media, said 200Mbps broadband will offer "cutting edge entertainment" to consumers.

"By pushing the boundaries of broadband in the UK we hope to drive a change in the way Brits enjoy and experience digital entertainment and exciting new services," he added.

Virgin Media recently revealed its plan to trial the delivery of super-fast broadband via telegraph poles.
