The company, which offers internet, digital TV and home phone services, has conducted research to back up the launch of its new Virgin Media Pioneers scheme, which is designed to give young people access to advice to make their ideas become reality. According to the study, a quarter of Brits aged between 18 and 30 would like to run their own business, but concerns over experience are stopping them achieving their ambitions. Neil Berkett, chief executive of Virgin Media, said the key aim behind the scheme was to highlight the opportunities that the digital world can open up. "As a brand founded in entrepreneurial ambition, our partnership with Enterprise UK will help create an environment that supports the needs of all potential entrepreneurs," he added. Virgin Media recently confirmed plans to launch its new flagship 100Mbps broadband by the end of 2010.
