Virgin Media signs up Stephen Fry for TiVo ad

Confirmed technophile Stephen Fry is the latest big name to advertise Virgin Media's TiVo service.
Fry will appear alongside Sir Richard Branson in the new ad, which will premiere on Saturday (July 14th 2012) on primetime ITV1.
The promo will use search functionality from YouTube to show off the ease and speed with which TiVo customers can find their favourite shows.
Branson and Fry appear wearing Oriental robes, with the former producing a TiVo remote from up his sleeve and throwing it like a ninja star to the QI host.
Fry catches the remote and searches for 'kung fu', bringing up an array of content from the TiVo set-top box "in the blink of an eye".
In a second ad, he will highlight TiVo's WishList, a search engine that allows viewers to "wish for whatever you like".
Jeff Dodds, executive director of brand and marketing communications at Virgin Media, said: "Stephen Fry is without a doubt one of the most high-profile and digitally savvy figures of today, making him an ideal candidate to demonstrate Virgin Media's TiVo service."
David Tennant and Marc Warren have previously appeared in TiVo ads, while Usain Bolt has promoted the cable company's fibre optic broadband offering.
