Vispa launches wireless broadband in Cheshire villages

Two Cheshire villages now have access to Vispa's wireless broadband service
A new wireless broadband service has been rolled out to the villages of Burtonwood and Winwick.

Vispa has announced the launch of its super-fast wireless broadband service to the Cheshire villages of Burtonwood and Winwick.

Residents and businesses in the two communities, which are located on the outskirts of Warrington, can now sign up for speeds of up to 60Mbps thanks to the rollout.

The company offers householders a choice of two broadband packages - up to 10Mbps downstream speeds with 100GB of peak usage and 60Mbps rates with a 200GB peak allowance.

Both of these propositions also come with a free VoIP account and AVG Internet Security.

Small office/home office businesses can take advantage of 60Mbps symmetrical speeds and 500GB of peak usage, while big businesses are offered unlimited usage and the guarantee of 99.9 per cent uptime.

Vispa was established in 1999 by a group of web users who wanted to launch an internet service provider (ISP) capable of meeting the demands and requests of clients across the UK.

The company introduced its first corporate packages in 2001 and has signed up a range of high-profile customers, including Saudi Airlines and online business directory Scoot.

"Vispa are confident that over the coming months, even greater growth will occur," the ISP said on its website.
