Vodafone's mobile broadband bundles 'drive revenues'Tuesday, November 10th 2009 The popularity of Vodafone's mobile broadband bundles helped to drive increased data revenue during the six months to September 30th. Broadband provider Vodafone has revealed the popularity of its mobile internet bundles has helped it increase data revenues in the UK during the half-year to September 30th.
The company stated that the results helped to partially offset competitive price pressures and a reduction in active prepaid customers.
It was also revealed that 30 per cent of the firm's customers across Europe are regular users of mobile internet services and the company supported this by investing in its HSPA capability.
Vodafone added that its introduction of fixed line broadband services had given it a chance to increase the range of products it can offer to customers.
The release of the firm's trading update has come after the announcement it is offering enhanced mobile broadband services, with speeds of 14.4 Mbps, in areas of high demand across the UK.
Areas in London, Birmingham and Liverpool are already receiving upgraded services and the rollout is expected to continue.
