Sky Digital provides digital satellite TV in the UK via its satellite network. Sky's digital service launched in 1987 enabled viewers to experience new levels of innovation to its services such as Sky+ and interative movies and sports. Sky Digital HD allows viewers to view broadcasts in High Definition (HDTV) and broadcast a number of popular channels in HD including Sky Movies HD, Sky Sports HD and The Discovery Channel HD. Sky Digital recently expanded its services to include the converging communications market and now offer broadband internet access - Sky Broadband and Sky Talk which offers free evening and weekend calls. This multimedia triple-play package is marketed as See Speak Surf.
