Virgin Media is one of the only subscription TV providers that doesn't charge you for getting access to its high definition channels, although you'll need to pay a little extra in order to get the V+ HD box as part of this TV M package. If you've invested in a HD ready TV then it's definitely worth getting it hooked up to some high definition content as soon as possible in order to see what all of the fuss is about.

The basic package of 45 TV channels is included in this deal, giving you access to popular blokes channel Dave along with E4, BBC 3 and 4 and Five USA. All of your favourite regular terrestrial channels will be on offer alongside the more exotic digital options, but Virgin Media's TV service is also able to offer on demand programming.

This is a service that lets you start watching any one of a vast catalogue of shows and movies whenever you're ready, so you don't need to worry about start times. Amongst the on demand features is the BBC iPlayer, which lets you catch up with shows you've missed over the past week and the equivalent services from Channel 4 and ITV are also available.

You can sign up to on demand film service PictureBox which gives you 28 new movies every month, with new titles joining each week, which is perfect for film buffs.
