Sky Sports Bundle review 2018
Sadly, this bundle has been discontinued as of January 2018. Instead, Sky now only offers The Sky Entertainment Pack, with the option to bolt onto it whatever else you need. What’s in the Sky Entertainment Pack? Follow the link for out complete breakdown.
In addition to a sparkling new Sky Q box, you get seven dedicated channels and the Sky Go mobile app so you can catch your favourite sports on the move. Here’s our independent review.
Is it for me?
Yes, if you’re looking for a TV package containing the full Sky Sports pack alongside popular entertainment channels and a Sky Q box to watch important events live or record them when you’re busy – and catch-up on recent shows you’ve missed.
It covers a vast array of sports and events across ten dedicated channels, such as the Barclays Premier League, F1, cricket, golf, rugby league, rugby union, boxing, tennis, NFL, snooker, WWE, basketball, darts, speedway and even niche sports like greyhound racing.
Exclusive Sky TV offers for new customers
The Sky Sports Bundle is available throughout the country. If you can have a satellite dish fitted to your property with a clear view of the sky, you’ll be able to get Sky TV. Enter your postcode below to see the latest deals and packages in your area.
Existing Sky customers
Adding Sky Sports to your existing contract may be more affordable than you think. The only way to find out is by comparing the latest deals for existing Sky customers.
How does it compare to other Sky bundles?
The Sky Sports Bundle includes the popular sports channel pack as standard but it can also be added to one of the other Sky TV bundles. Prices vary and each offers different channels and features. Use the tool below to compare what you get for your money.
Can I bolt on extras like Sky Cinema and BT Sport?
The Sky Sports Bundle features a huge amount of sports content, but it’s not the most comprehensive TV sports package around as it doesn’t feature BT Sport. However, it can be added for free if you have BT broadband, or an additional monthly fee and one-off set-up charge (see below) if you don’t.
You can also bolt-on extra channels such as Sky Cinema, Sky Asia and specialist football team channels such as MUTV and Chelsea TV.
Sky’s TV bundles don’t feature broadband as standard but it is available as an optional extra. There are four broadband and phone packages to choose from with a range of different speeds and usage allowances. All services are subject to £15 monthly line rental and include a range of useful features.

What comes with it?
As you’d expect, you get the seven dedicated Sky Sports channels (Sky Sports 1-5, Sky Sports F1 and Sky Sports News). You also get the basic Sky entertainment pack, which features delivers 35+ entertainment channels, 240+ additional free-to-air channels and 11 HD channels.
The Sky Q box is included in the monthly price with a one-off £20 installation fee. The box allows you to pause, rewind and record live TV. Connect your box to your broadband service and you can access catch-up TV and on demand services.
You can also live stream Sky Sports channels and any others in your subscription on mobile devices via the free Sky Go app, providing you have an internet connection.
Which TV channels are included?
The Sky Sports Bundle is basically Sky’s entry-level Original Bundle with the addition of seven Sky Sports channels. Check out the full channel line-up below.
*Additional charges apply to standalone channels
If Sky Sports Bundle doesn’t sound quite right for you, perhaps one of Sky’s other five bundles might be a better fit. There’s the Original, Variety, Box Sets (previously Family), Cinema and Complete, each featuring more channels and a higher price as you go along.
If you don’t fancy committing to a contract or having a satellite dish installed on your roof, Now TV offers a more flexible option to get Sky Sports. Alternatively, how about Virgin TV? Sky Sports can be added to any TV package or you get it included with selected Big Bundles of broadband, TV and phone.
