Alibi to show final season of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders
US police drama Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders is to return for a second series on Friday 18 May, with all 13 episodes broadcast by Alibi in the 9pm timeslot.
The show is a spin off from the original Criminal Minds and debuted in the US back in 2015. It stars Gary Sinise (Forrest Gump) as Jack Garrett, the head of FBI’s International Response team (IRT) – a specialised international division that solves crimes and aids US citizens abroad.
Also on board is Alana de la Garza (CSI: Miami) as Clara Seger, a special agent, linguistics specialist and cultural anthropologist with the IRT, and Tyler James Williams (The Walking Dead) as Russ ‘Monty’ Montgomery, an agent and technical analyst.
The second series starts with the kidnap of 23 members of an American church group in Tanzania. While IRT investigates, Monty works with Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) to locate the victims' relatives.
The show is the third series in the Criminal Minds universe, with another spinoff called Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour lasting just one series despite the involvement of Oscar winner Forest Whitaker. The main series has been running on CBS since 2005, spanning 13 seasons and nearly 300 episodes.

However, this is the final series of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, which was cancelled by CBS last year.
