Amazon Prime Video now available with Vodafone Red Entertainment plans
Vodafone is now offering access to Amazon Prime Video as one of the options on its Red Entertainment mobile plans.
Red Entertainment plans combine a SIM-only or pay monthly phone contract with a subscription to a streaming service. Up until now customers could choose from Spotify Premium, the Sky Sports Mobile TV app or a NOW TV Entertainment Pass.
Now Amazon Prime Video has been added as a fourth option, giving those who sign up the chance to watch hit shows like The Grand Tour, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and American Gods, as well as thousands of other TV series and films.
This isn’t a full Prime membership, so you won’t get free next-day deliveries from Amazon, but you will be able to watch Prime Video content not only on your phone but also on your smart TV, games console, tablet or laptop.
Glafkos Persianis, commercial director at Vodafone UK, said: “We know our customers love being able to watch their favourite films and TV shows on the go, and with Prime Video on Vodafone, they’ll have even more top-quality, award-winning options at their fingertips. We’re delighted to provide our customers with the best entertainment available today.”
Jay Marine, VP Amazon Prime Video, Europe, said “We love giving Prime Video members more ways to enjoy their favourite TV shows and movies so we’re delighted Vodafone UK is making Prime Video available to their customers.
“This is yet another way customers can easily watch the latest Prime Original Series and exclusive TV shows like multi award-winning The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, The Grand Tour and the highly-anticipated Jack Ryan starring John Krasinski.
“Ahead of TV shows like this launching this summer, it’s great to be giving customers more options on how they watch, whether at home or on the go.”
As well as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, which will premiere on the streaming service on 31 August, Prime Video subscribers can also look forward to the second series of Billy Bob Thornton’s legal drama Goliath, which will be available from 15 June.
Movies including Wonder Wheel, The Disaster Artist and the award-winning Lady Bird are available to stream right now.
Red Entertainment plans start at £25 for a 30GB SIM-only deal that comes on a 12-month contract, with a 12-month streaming subscription. There are also a range of Red Entertainment plans available with pay monthly phones, each of which comes with a 24-month subscription to a streaming service.
