Be Broadband claims Line Bonding can double standard speeds

Friday, November 12th 2010 by Cable.co.uk

Internet service provider Be Broadband has launched its new Line Bonding service.

Be Broadband has launched a new proposition that it claims can double the speed of customers' existing lines.

The internet service provider's Line Bonding technology enables subscribers to get up to 44Mb/s download speeds and upload capacity of up to 5Mb/s by taking two standard connections and combining them at the exchange.

Prospective customers will need to get a second BT landline installed at their property to take advantage of the facility, which costs £65 per month and requires an £85 setup fee.

It is available throughout the 70 per cent of the UK that is able to connect to the regular Be service.

Head of marketing at Be Broadband Alex Gower commented: "As only half of the UK population have access to fibre currently, Be's Line Bonding product is a real viable alternative."

As well as this package, the company offers three other deals - Value, Unlimited and Pro.

These cost £13.79, £17.88 and £21.97 per month respectively.
