Black Friday: TalkTalk offers free Sky Sports and scraps fibre set-up fee

Thursday, November 24th 2016 by Phil Wilkinson-Jones

TalkTalk is giving its customers free access to Sky Sports for a month to celebrate Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The provider has also dropped the set-up charge for its fibre broadband and TV packages, and has discounts available on both its mobile bundles and movie rentals.

The offer of Sky Sports free for a month is a saving of £32 – the usual monthly fee for all six Sky Sports channels– but you will be charged for your second month if you don’t cancel the boost within 30 days.

Premier League highlights in December, that will be available to watch for free, include Man Utd v Spurs, Everton v Liverpool and Man City’s home games against Chelsea and Arsenal.

New and existing TalkTalk customers taking fibre broadband or a TV package won’t have to pay a set-up charge if they order between Friday 25 and Monday 28 November.

That’s a saving of £50 for those taking fibre and between £25 and £50 depending on the TV package.

Those who already have TalkTalk TV will be able to grab some bargains in the TalkTalk TV Store, the provider’s pay-as-you-go movies and TV service.

Captain America: Civil War is available to rent for 99p, down from the usual price of £3.45 and there are savings on a number of movies available to buy and keep.

Deadpool, The Revenant, Alice Through the Looking Glass and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows have all been reduced to £5.99.

Some of TalkTalk’s mobile packages, which are exclusive to TalkTalk broadband customers, have also been reduced.

The HTC A9 is available for £17.50 a month for 24 months – a reduction of £10 a month or £240 over the length of the contract. It comes with 300 minutes, 250 texts and 300MB of data.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 and Samsung A7 Tab mobile and tablet bundle also costs £17.50 a month on a 24-month contract, a saving of £5 a month or £120 in total.

TalkTalk is also offering the Alcatel Idol 4+ with virtual reality headset, again for £17.50 a month over two years.
