BT offers £100 reward card with 76Mbps fibre broadband deal

Friday, November 3rd 2017 by Phil Wilkinson-Jones

BT is offering a £100 reward card if you order its fastest fibre broadband package by Thursday 9 November.

Unlimited Infinity 2 , which offers speeds up to 76Mbps, is £49.99 a month on an 18-month contract and weekend calls are included.

You’ll have to pay a £50 connection fee and £9.99 router delivery fee to get this deal, but the cost of these charges is offset by the reward card, which you will have to remember to claim once your service is up and running.

It has to be said that this deal is considerably worse than if you’d gone for the same package last week – although the £100 reward card still makes a reasonable difference to the total first year cost.

That £49.99 monthly fee is £5 more than it was last week, the amount on the reward card has gone down by £20 and BT is now charging a connection fee again – something it had waived last week.

We should also point out that for £44 a month Virgin Media is offering speeds up to 300Mbps – more than four times faster than BT's offering – on a 12-month contract with weekend calls thrown in and a set-up cost of £20 compared to BT’s £50.

Sky’s top fibre broadband package is similarly priced at £43.99. For that you get speeds up to 76Mbps on an 18-month contract. There is also a £59.95 set up cost, which is almost offset by the £50 reward card on offer until 16 November.

£50 BT reward card with Unlimited Infinity 1

BT is also offering a £50 reward card with its lower (up to 52Mbps) fibre broadband package. Unlimited Infinity 1 with weekend calls is currently £29.99 a month on an 18-month contract plus a £50 connection fee and £9.99 for router delivery.

The price of this deal has gone down by £2 a month since last week but now only comes with a £50 reward card as opposed to £120 last week.

If you’re looking to add a TV package to BT Infinity 1, these also come with £50 reward cards until 9 November.

The Starter package with BT Sport , which gives you 20 premium channels and up to 80 free-to-air channels including 21 in HD, is £33.49 a month with Unlimited Infinity 1 and weekend calls.

The Entertainment pack , which gives you 29 premium channels and access to the BT TV app, is £39.99 a month with Unlimited Infinity 1 and weekend calls.

BT’s top TV package – Max – gives you 60 premium channels, nine kids channels and the option of watching in Ultra HD. This is currently £49.99 a month with Unlimited Infinity 1 and weekend calls.

All three are available on 18-month contracts. If you opt for Max , there is a £60 connection fee as well as our old friend the £9.99 router delivery charge. Both the Starter and Entertainment bundles require a £70 connection fee and the £9.99 router fee.
