Free Amazon Echo Dot and cashback with BT broadband and TV deals
Black Friday may have been and gone, but BT is still offering up to £125 cashback with its broadband deals and a free Amazon Echo Dot with some of its broadband and TV bundles.
From now until Thursday 14 December BT’s top fibre broadband package, Unlimited Infinity 2, comes with a £125 gift card and there’s no activation fee to pay. What you will have to pay is £39.99 a month for 18 months, plus £9.99 upfront to cover the cost of the router being delivered – and in return you’ll get speeds up to 76Mbps.
BT’s standard fibre package Infinity 1, which still gives you a pretty speedy 52Mbps, is £31.99 a month, again on an 18-month contract and as well as paying the £9.99 router delivery fee, you’ll also have to pay a £20 activation fee. Infinity 1 currently comes with a £100 reward card.
Basic BT broadband, which promises speeds up to 17Mbps, is £23.99 a month for 18 months. There’s the £9.99 router fee but no activation fee on this package and you’ll get a £50 reward card.
Now, we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, but BT will not send you the reward card automatically and it won’t remind you to claim it. So if you go for any of these deals, put a reminder in your phone to make a claim once your service is up and running.
If you’re looking to add TV to a broadband package, the rewards are even greater right now. Infinity 1 with the Starter + Sport TV package comes with a £100 reward card, although there is a £60 activation fee to pay upfront as well as the £9.99 router charge.
This bundle is £35.49 a month over 18 months and gives you 80 free-to-air channels and 20 premium channels as well as BT Sport.
Amazon Echo Dot with Entertainment or Max TV packages
Taking either of BT’s bigger TV packages – Entertainment or Max – not only gets you a £100 reward card but also a free Amazon Echo Dot.
Entertainment with Infinity 1 is £41.99 a month and Max is £51.99. Both bundles require a £20 activation fee and our old friend the £9.99 router delivery charge.
We don’t remember BT giving away an Amazon Echo Dot before, so this is a pretty rare deal. The device is a smart speaker that lets you play music, order takeaways, control smart home features and get news updates just by using your voice.
The Echo Dot is currently £34.99 if you buy directly from Amazon so it’s a nice little addition to a £100 reward card on BT’s bigger TV and broadband bundles.
As well as the varying freebies and bits of cashback, all of the deals we’ve mentioned include weekend calls. You can upgrade to unlimited evening and weekend calls for an additional £3.80 a month or unlimited anytime calls for £6.99.
