BT Sport now available contract-free

Monday, November 23rd 2015 by Cable.co.uk

BT has made its sports channels contract-free for new broadband customers, as part of a raft of deals celebrating Black Friday. The BT Sport Pack is now available on a 30-day rolling contract when purchased with broadband.

Customers must subscribe to a 12-month broadband deal to get this offer. Existing broadband customers can also get this deal if they are signing up to BT Sport on the app and online for the first time.

Previously, BT Sport was only available on a 12-month contract. To keep BT Sport on a monthly basis you must continue to renew your broadband or TV package contract.

The BT Sports Pack is £5 a month and includes access to BT Sport 1, BT Sport Europe, BT Sport 2 and BT Sport ESPN. BT Sport is the only place you can watch live coverage of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. The service also hosts live Barclays Premier League games, The FA Cup, Aviva Premiership Rugby, MotoGP and UFC, among other sports.

Free £50 or £100 prepaid Mastercard

For new broadband subscribers, BT has reintroduced its £5 unlimited broadband and weekend calls and £10 unlimited Infinity 1 and weekend calls deals.

BT is giving away a free prepaid MasterCard with each offer – for the £5 deal you’ll get a card worth £50 and with the £10 Infinity offer it will be totted up to £100.

BT has also cut the price of its Total Entertainment package from £15 to £13. Total Entertainment provides access to 50 premium channels such as Disney, Fox and Comedy Central and 12 HD channels. Catch up TV such as BBC iPlayer and All 4 is also available on the service and subscribers can rent movies through the BT store.

Customers who take out a Total Entertainment, unlimited Infinity 1 and weekend calls bundle will also get either a £50 or £100 prepaid Mastercard.

Black Friday offers are also available on BT Mobile. The 2GB SIM only plan is now £8 for existing BT broadband customers and £13 for those new to BT. Plus everyone who signs up for a 500Mb or 2GB data plan will automatically receive a £10 Amazon or iTunes Gift Card.

BT offered similar deals over the summer, when it first reduced it's standard broadband to £5 a month. It's 'price drop' deal included unlimited Infinity fibre broadband from £12.50 a month and a 50% discount on all capped broadband plans.
