EE adds to range of own-brand devices with new Harrier Tab

EE has launched a new tablet as it expands its range of own-brand devices.

The Harrier Tab is available to buy in EE stores and online from today and uses the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

It features an eight-inch full HD screen and 8MP rear-facing and 2MP front-facing cameras, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory and additional storage via a Micro SD card.

The tablet allows users to access EE’s double-speed 4G network and mobile broadband speeds up to 60Mbps.

It is available on a range of pay monthly price plans starting from £16 per month, and is free on an £18 per month, 24-month plan that comes with 10GB of monthly data.

The Harrier Tab is also available for £199.99 on pay as you go, while there is a range of dedicated price plans for small and large businesses.

Sharon Meadows, EE’s director of devices, said: “Like its smaller siblings, we’ve made sure the Harrier Tab features an impressive spec at an easily affordable price point for consumers and businesses alike.

“When paired with our superfast 4G network, it really does offer one of the best tablet experiences on the market and is the ideal device for work, study or downtime.”

Cable.co.uk reported earlier this year on the launch of the Harrier smartphone and the Harrier Mini – a more compact version of the handset.

Both phones can access EE’s 4G network and also give users the ability to make calls and send texts over a wi-fi signal – a service known as wi-fi calling.

EE also unveiled two ‘4G wi-fi devices’, that provide customers with a mobile internet hotspot.

The Osprey 2 allows up to 10 devices to be connected at any one time and has an extended battery life, allowing users to stream for more than 15 hours uninterrupted and also acting as a portable battery pack.

The Osprey 2 Mini is a more compact version of the device which also allows up to 10 devices to be connected and can be personalised with coloured ‘bumpers’.

“The Harrier and Harrier Mini are another big step forward and will allow even more people to benefit from a premium smartphone without the premium price – as well as provide access to a superfast 4G experience that only the UK’s biggest and fastest mobile network can provide.”
