EE tops Ofcom fixed broadband complaints league
Ofcom has published its latest figures on complaints in the fixed broadband market.
EE was the most complained-about major fixed-line broadband provider in the first three months of 2013 - the third successive quarter in which it has picked up the unwanted accolade.
New Ofcom figures show that the operator, which is assuming responsibility for all fixed broadband products previously delivered by Orange, attracted 0.57 complaints per 1,000 customers over the period. These issues were mainly down to service problems and the process of switching to a different provider.
Although it remains in the number one position, EE saw a drop in complaints on the previous quarter, when it received 0.7 per 1,000 subscribers.
TalkTalk (0.36) and BT (0.33) appeared in second and third places respectively, with each continuing to exceed the industry average for complaints generated.
Sky took fourth spot with just 0.1 complaints for every 1,000 customers, while Virgin Media was named the least complained-about major provider - with 0.08 per 1,000 subscribers - for the first time since the second quarter of 2011.
"We're committed to providing consumers with valuable information to help them choose a provider that best suits their needs," commented Claudio Pollack, Director of Ofcom's Consumer Group.
