Tuesday, May 11th 2010 by Cable.co.uk

A new on-demand film subscription service has been launched by the BT Vision digital TV platform, it has been announced.

The new on-demand subscription service Film Club has launched on the BT Vision digital TV platform, it has been revealed.

Offering more than twice as many on-demand movies to BT Vision subscribers, the service will feature over 60 films with 14 being refreshed on a weekly basis.

Available for £6.99 a month or as an option on BT Vision's Bronze, Silver and Gold viewing bundles, it is bringing together both the WarnerFilms and PictureBox platforms under a single brand.

Marc Watson, chief executive of BT Vision, said: "All of our films are available on-demand, so you won't have to fit in with a broadcaster's schedule or miss the first part of the film.

"You can start it when you are ready and pause or rewind the film whenever you want."

The launch of the new service on BT Vision has come after Virgin Media revealed that Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes is now available through its on-demand TV platform.
