Free 2TB Sky+HD box worth £249 with Family Bundle upgrades

Friday, May 6th 2016 by Cable.co.uk

Sky is giving existing TV customers a new Sky+HD set-top box, capable of storing 2 terabytes worth of programming, when they upgrade to the Family Bundle before midnight on Thursday 19 May.

The Sky+HD 2TB box provides six times more storage than the Sky+HD box. Users can record up to 1,180 hours of TV in standard definition or 350 hours in high definition.

The Family Bundle gives you access to more than 350 Sky box sets in HD, more than 65 entertainment channels including documentaries and kids' shows and the Sky Atlantic channel.

It’s currently priced from £6 per month but the price may vary depending on your existing package.

Sky continues to offer 30% off Sky TV bundles to new customers until Thursday 19 May. The deal also includes a £25 choice of reward (either a Tesco or M&S gift card or a £25 prepaid Mastercard).

This offer applies to all six Sky TV bundles: the Original (now £14), Variety (now £22.40), Family (now £26.60), Movies (now £26.60), Sports (now £33.25) and the Complete (now £56).

All bundles require a minimum 12-month subscription and a £10 one-off installation fee is also payable.

Free fibre broadband for a year

Sky also has reductions on its broadband packages. Customers signing up to fibre broadband, which provides speeds of up to 38Mbps and includes a 25Gb usage allowance, can get it free for 12 months. After 12 months the monthly cost will be £10 plus a line rental charge of £17.40.

Unlimited broadband from Sky, which provides speeds of up to 17Mbps, is also free for the first year and those who haven’t got Sky TV will also receive a £100 M&S e-voucher. After 12 months it will be £10 per month plus line rental.

Sky’s broadband offers are available until midnight on Thursday 26 May. All broadband packages include Sky Broadband Shield internet protection, Sky hub router, unlimited access to Sky wi-fi and Sky Yahoo mail.

Last month, Sky announced it will be increasing the prices of its TV bundles from 1 June 2016. Bills will rise by between £1 and £4.25 per month, depending on the package.
