Free Netflix for a year when you pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S9 from Three
Love binge-watching programmes? In the market for a mobile phone? Well, Three has an offer that’s tailor-made for you!
At the end of 2017, most reviews comparing the best mobile phones released throughout the year reached the same conclusion – the Galaxy S8 rocked! Still riding the crest of this wave, on the 25th February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Samsung announced its newest handset – the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus - to a breathless audience.
Available to pre-order now and officially launched in the UK on 16th March, the Galaxy S9 certainly has a tough act to follow. It looks, at first glance, quite similar to its predecessor. However, with its 5.8-inch screen, it’s slightly longer than the S8 with marginally thinner sides. The larger S9 Plus features a 6.2-inch screen.
Both models come with a rear fingerprint sensor, the S9 has a single lens camera whilst, for the first time, the S9 Plus will feature a dual lens camera. In the UK it will be available in three colours – Midnight Black, Lilac Purple and Coral Blue.
Where Samsung promises you will see a clear difference is with the camera. Indeed, the accompanying teaser tagline states ‘the camera re-imagined’. The S9 camera features a number of innovations including a dual aperture, which will allow the camera lens to become larger or smaller to control the amount of light passing through. A larger lens will create a brighter picture, so improving any image taken in low light conditions.
£49 a month for 12GB of data
There’s quite a few pre-order offers out there right now and Three currently has one of the best, especially for any Netflix fans amongst us. If you sign up now to a new, or upgrade to, a 24-month Advanced Plan for the S9 or S9 Plus with 12GB of data, you qualify for a credit value of £95.88. This equates to 12 months Netflix standard subscription of £7.99 a month.
Glow Season 2, Making a Murderer Season 2, Arrested Development Season 5 and Season 4 of Better Call Saul. All coming your way during 2018 on Netflix and would all be paid for, courtesy of this offer.
For a Galaxy S9 the Advanced Plan, with 12GB of data, would cost £49.00 a month with an upfront fee of £79.00 over a 24-month contract. For the S9 Plus on the same Advanced Plan, the monthly cost would be £54.00 with the same upfront cost. Both plans include unlimited calls and texts.
In addition you get Three’s ‘Feel at Home Around the World’ plan allowing you to call, text and get online in 60 destinations worldwide at no further cost. You can also use your phone as a personal hotspot and stream your favourite shows and music without using up your data on the ‘Go Binge’ feature.
The Netflix offer also extends to a range of other Samsung handsets including the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and the Note 8. For the S8, as an example, on the same Advanced Plan you would pay the same £79.00 upfront cost but with a slightly lower monthly payment of £46.00.
