Get Beats EP headphones for £50 with EE pay as you go deals
If you’re thinking about buying a new pay as you go phone and are also in the market for a pair of Beats headphones, then we may have found just the deal for you.
EE is offering a set of Beats EP headphones for £50 when you buy a pay as you go phone for £59.99 or above and a £10 top up. These headphones have an RRP of £89.99 so that’s a significant saving if they’re the type of thing you were looking to buy anyway.
Beats EP headphones come in a choice of four colours – black, blue, white and red – and according to their manufacturer “deliver masterfully tuned sound the way it was meant to be heard”, whatever that means.
The phones involved in this offer aren’t premium models but you may actually find reassurance in the fact that all of them come in at less than a fifth of the cost of the iPhone X with EE.
The cheapest way to do EE’s phone-headphone combo if you’re looking for a smartphone is to plump for the Alcatel U5, which is £109.99 when bought with Beats EP headphones.
The U5 is a good entry-level phone designed to be affordable rather than flashy and comes with 8GB of memory, a 5Megapixel (MP) camera and a HD screen.
There’s a good range of smartphones eligible for this deal including the Samsung J3 for £159.99 and the Nokia 3 in blue or white for £169.99.
The LG K4 is £129.99 and the LG K8 is £149.99 as part of this deal. These phones are also available from Tesco Mobile on pay as you go for £109 and £129 respectively and come with an LG Bluetooth speaker, so if you like the look of an LG phone you’ll have to weigh up which gadget you’d prefer.
At the top end of the price spectrum for this deal is the Huawei P8 lite, which is £199.99 with the Beats EP headphones. This is a 16GB smartphone with a fingerprint sensor and a 12MP camera as well as “panoramic selfie mode”, great if you need a bit of help upping your selfie game.
EE has also included in this deal a couple of phones that are perfect if you have specific requirements, or if smartphones just aren’t your thing.
The Doro 6520 is a good old-fashioned flip phone with a 2.8” screen and a 2MP camera. It’s compatible with hearing aids and has a number of accessibility features including an assistance button. The 6520 will also allow you to get online and post your pictures on Facebook. It’s £109.99 on EE with the Beats EP headphones.
There’s also the CAT B30, which is also £109.99 when bought with the headphones. This phone’s selling point is that it’s tough. It’s built to withstand temperatures as high as 55°c (131°f) and as low as -25°C (-13°f), and is drop-proof to 1.8 metres as well as being dustproof and waterproof.
