Get exclusive Star Wars: The Last Jedi bonus content on the Virgin Media Store
Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the second instalment of the new sequel trilogy in the sci-fi saga, was arguably the biggest film to hit cinemas in 2017 and it’s now available to watch on the Virgin Media Store, complete with bonus features.
The eighth film in the series continues where the previous film, The Force Awakens, concludes with Rey (Daisy Ridley) seeking to learn the ways of the force from the legendary Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamil) who has exiled himself in a far-flung part of the galaxy.
Carrie Fisher, in her final role, returns as Princess Leia, now General Leia, to lead the Resistance against the First Order and its battle against Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), while John Boyega and Oscar Isaac reprise their roles as Finn and Poe Dameron.
The film debuted last December and despite being released in the final month of 2017, was still that year’s highest-grossing movie. And now you can experience it all again.
The movie is available in high-definition on the Virgin Media Store for £13.99. To get all the bonus content, you’ll need to buy the film from the Virgin Media Store – renting will not give you access.
Meet the Porgs
Included is three hours of additional content, including behind-the-scenes clips and a full documentary featuring director Rian Johnson and a handful of deleted scenes. And, as an extra bonus, Virgin will give you an exclusive featurette called Meet the Porgs, focusing on the cute (or annoying) creatures introduced in the film.
Every other Star Wars movie is also available to buy or rent in the Virgin Media Store, including the spin-off Rogue One, which was released in 2016.
The Virgin Media Store is available on Virgin TV, which is available as a standalone cable TV service or as part of a broadband and landline package. Virgin’s Player bundle comes with 100Mbps broadband and more than 70 channels, most of which are available on Freeview, as well as basic catch up TV services and the latest Virgin TV V6 Box. Virgin Media is offering this for £29 a month.
The V6 box allows you to record six live tv shows at the same time – you can watch a recording while this is happening – and has a unified search tool that can find programmes across the TV guide, On Demand and even on Netflix if you are a subscriber.
The 1TB worth of storage can record 500 hours of standard definition (SD) video and 100 hours of HD, so there’s always something to watch. And if that’s not enough, you can watch live TV, box sets and some recordings on compatible mobile devices over your home wi-fi network.
The Mix bundle costs £45 a month and gives you more channels, including Sky One, and more on demand services, while the Full House bundle adds BT Sport and 50 HD channels for £49 a month – Virgin Media’s lowest ever price. The VIP bundle gives you all this, as well as 350Mbps broadband, all the Sky Sports channels and Sky Cinema.
