Gigaclear chooses Netadmin OSS to automate broadband processes
Gigaclear customers can run self-diagnostics on their home network thanks to a deal with Netadmin.
Rural fibre optic broadband provider Gigaclear has chosen to adopt an operational support system (OSS) from Netadmin in a bid to improve delivery and automate certain processes.
The communications company is taking advantage of all of the main features offered by the OSS solution, including customer management, service provisioning, ticket management and network monitoring.
Christer Karlsson, chief technology officer at Gigaclear, explained that once properties are hooked up to the ultra-fast fibre optic network and gigabit speeds are delivered, the next challenge lies in boosting the performance of their home network.
Customers may be using cables and devices that worked fine with slower DSL broadband but are no longer up to the job, he explained, while wireless coverage in the home may not be sufficient to enjoy the full benefits of the increased bandwidth.
Using the Netadmin integrated end-customer portal, subscribers can perform self-diagnostics on their network without having to contact Gigaclear.
"The main advantage for us to use Netadmin is that we can deliver our services faster to our customers and it will naturally increases both revenue and customer satisfaction," Mr Karlsson commented.
