The best Apple iPad pay monthly deals this Black Friday weekend
It’s been a few hours now since the Black Friday sales officially kicked off and we can imagine you’re feeling a bit sheepish after buying that spiralizer that you don’t really need but just had to get because it was so cheap.
One piece of tech that won’t turn your veg into ribbons but will still be quite useful is the Apple iPad. This Black Friday a few mobile providers have extended their offers to make reductions on the device.
The iPad is a bit like a mash up of a phone and a laptop. You have some of the productivity tools from a laptop so can use the device to draft documents, send emails and put together presentations but you can also do the fun stuff like make video calls, take pictures and play games.
It packs a 9.7 inch Retina display, 10 hour battery life and an 8MP front camera. The 64-bit A9 chip means the device runs quickly and smoothly, allowing you to easily switch between apps without the frustrating wait for them to load.
It runs on Apple’s latest operating system and you can sync it to your iPhone or iMac meaning you can carry out an activity on one device and finish it on another without losing any data as it’s all backed up on the iCloud.
To buy the iPad boasting 32GB of storage with wi-fi and cellular (takes a SIM) capabilities the RRP is £469. If this won’t put a dent in your wallet you can buy it outright and put a data heavy SIM card in for a decent price. For example Asda Mobile currently offers 12GB for £10 a month.
If you’d prefer to spread the cost there are a few mobile providers offering reduced pay-monthly deals over the Black Friday weekend.
An iPad with 5GB data for £21 a month
Vodafone is offering the iPad on a pay monthly plan for £21 a month. You’ll have to pay £20 upfront but you’ll get 5GB of data to play around with each month.
If you think you’ll need more data when using the device on the go Vodafone has a 30GB plan for just a tenner more each month. You’ll also pay less upfront as its £10.
You can take the iPad with you if you’re going on holiday or working away as Vodafone Global Roaming is included in all of the provider’s pay-monthly plans. This allows you to use your data in 60 countries around the world.
All Apple products bought from Vodafone will have a free 24-month warranty so you can breathe a sigh of relief when you accidently drop it in the bath (we’ve all done it). You’ve got until the end of the weekend (27 November) to snap up this deal.
This Black Friday, O2 has reduced its pay-monthly deal for the Apple iPad to £30 a month. Over a 24-month contract you’ll get 5GB of data per months and 100 texts (yes, the iPad can send texts) after paying £22.99 upfront.
It’s not quite as cheap as Vodafone’s deal but it does include a text allowance. O2 is also giving away 40% off of cinema tickets with this deal. All you have to do is download the Popcorn Pass App and you’ll receive movie discounts for 24 months. This deal ends on Wednesday 29 December.
Three hasn’t put a Black Friday sale on its iPad but there is a good deal with quite a hefty amount of data. For £27 a month you’ll get 20GB of data over a two year contract. It also comes with Three’s Go Binge feature, which allows you to stream video and music content without dipping into your data allowance. Sounds good right? There is a downside though, you’ll have to pay £99 upfront.
EE’s offer this Black Friday will set you back £30.60 a month with nothing upfront for 10GB over a 24-month contract. The provider says you’ll make a saving of £81.60. Without the deal, there’s a £49 upfront fee and £34 monthly cost. This offer is only available to EE customers so if you don’t have an EE mobile or broadband contract you’ll miss out.
